About Us

Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I created The Candle Guru in 2020.

I graduated from California State University, Fullerton in spring of 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. With the global pandemic striking in 2020, it was hard to find a job, but turning my passion into my own business was a blessing in disguise!

My true passion for candles began when living in an apartment with my sister during our college years a few years ago. I always searched for the most pleasant and strong smelling scents.. I mean, covering up the smell of fish tacos or brussels sprouts isn't the easiest thing to do. The only issue was, I could never find good smelling candles at a reasonable price or got headaches from their ingredients. A year later, I decided to begin my reserach in creating great smelling candles, the safe and affordable way! 

The Candle Guru candles are hand-poured in California, using a soy blend wax with little paraffin.

I, like many respectable candle makers, decided that making safe candles to burn and enjoy in our homes with our loved ones had and could be done the safe way, at an affordable cost! With very little paraffin in the soy blend wax, I have never received feedback of headaches or nausea, only love for the candles, and great smelling rooms/homes/offices! I hope that you, too, love each and every one of them, as they are made with love and care, oh and amazing scents!
